NPR's The Markup: Notes On The State Of The Union [with audio]

After listening to Obama’s State of the Union address, how can people continue to ask, what has Occupy done? Well one clear answer is, it has changed the conversation. Nothing is fixed when it is brushed under a rug. Of course, nothing is changed when our leaders seemingly hear our grievances and give the impression of solidarity only to then ignore those grievances and go on, business as usual. This is why Occupy must stay active and visible in the conversation.  

I still can’t decide if Obama is an ineffectual disappointment or a bold-faced liar. Is he full of big promises he’s powerless to keep or is he full of shit and pandering to the left only to then renege after climbing back into Wall Street’s bed.
